Providing unrestricted support for single mothers ages of 18 and older who are enrolled or would like to enroll in a YWCA Workforce Program (CREED or Successful Pathways®).
Barb Bentrup was an amazing individual with a truly inspiring story: a single mother without a high school diploma who, with support and education, achieved the position of Chief Financial Officer and In-house General Counsel at Delta Dental of Missouri. Having that support to attain a quality education opened many doors for her, and her continued education propelled her to achieve many academic awards, corporate awards, and recognition for community service. YWCA Metro St. Louis was fortunate to benefit from Barb’s leadership from 2013 until her passing, as she served as Board Chair, Treasurer and an active volunteer. The agency is honored and grateful to be able to offer this scholarship in her name.
